This is a bold claim. Yes, mindset matters, but negative thoughts do not block success. For example, here’s what the award-winning author said Maya Angelou said about her thoughts when writing.
“I have written eleven books, but each time I think, “Uh-oh, they’re going to find out now. I’ve run a game on everybody, and they’re going to find me out.‘”
Angelou had negative thoughts but still received more than 50 honorary degrees and sold millions of books. This proves that negative thoughts do not block success.
If this statement were true, it would be nearly impossible to succeed. That’s because someone almost always doubts you. Here’s a quote from Philadelphia Eagle’s guard Brandon Brooks that proves this statement is false.
“Before every game, I throw up. I can’t stop thinking about letting my team down, letting the world down, the microscope being on me.“
The Eagles still became the 2018 Super Bowl Champions, even though Brooks had negative thoughts.
The main problem with Infinite Intelligence is that it leads people to believe that it’s wrong to experience negative thoughts and emotions.
The truth is, that negative thoughts and emotions are a normal part of the human experience. Once you realize this, you can stop blaming your thoughts and emotions for your problems and instead take action to improve your life.
You don’t fail because negative thoughts and emotions block your connection to Infinite Intelligence. You fail because you don’t take the right actions.
Ultimately, the key to success is learning to take positive action despite how you feel or what you think.
