1. Biological self-awareness is the ability to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the human brain.
2. Internal self-awareness is the ability to understand your values, goals, thoughts, emotions, behaviors, strengths, and weaknesses.
3. External self-awareness is the ability to understand how your behavior affects others.
The best way to become more biologically self-aware is by educating yourself. Here’s an example. A cognitive bias known as the bandwagon effect can influence you to follow the crowd, even when following the crowd is a bad idea. But, until you know what the bandwagon effect is, you can’t be aware of it.
One way to become more internally self-aware is by defining clear goals and values. That’s because the process of outlining what is important to you establishes distinct guidelines that direct your decisions.
For instance, let’s say you want to get married to someone who doesn’t use drugs. Then, assume you are on a first date.
While on the date, you discover that your date uses drugs or doesn’t want to get married. In that case, your goals and values make it clear that there is no reason to go on a second date.
One way to become more externally self-aware is by asking for feedback. For example, if you believe you are a good negotiator, ask your colleagues if they agree. If not, take their advice and learn how to improve.

By entering this Ten Thousand Dollar Giveaway Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”), you agree to the following terms and conditions:

2. How to Enter: To enter, visit https://christhornham.com/ten-thousand-dollar-giveaway, and complete the entry form with a valid email address. No purchase is necessary. Only one entry per person is permitted. Automated, robotic, or programmed entries are not allowed, and any such entries will be void.
3. Winner Selection: The winner will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. The winner will be notified by email and will have 30 days to respond and claim the prize.
4. Prize: The prize for this Sweepstakes is $10,000 USD. No substitution or transfer of the prize is permitted, and no other alternative will be offered.
